Even though I had finished the HDR blog challenge, I took a particular liking to the effects of high dynamic range photography, and decided to continue experimenting with it over Spring Break. The photos you see above are of my ski trip to idyllic Sun Valley, Idaho. My family has been skiing here since I was six years old and I really liked how the HDR photos captured a richness and fullness of my subject matter that I had not achieved before without its application. I really enjoyed how the photos in HDR captured the essence and natural beauty of the skiing and the historic and iconic town of Sun Valley. From capturing bluebird days and crisp snow, to the opulent accommodations of the renowned Sun Valley Lodge, I felt the HDR photos reflected and showcased the personality of Sun Valley. From eating at the Pioneer Saloon and The Kneadery (complete with incredible taxidermy displays of buffalo, moose and elk) to the Big Wood River and sun kissed peaks, it was a personally memorable blog to complete.
